NIGERIA’S GOT TALENT SET FOR YOUR TV SCREENS!

The Nigeria’s Got Talent train has gone from state to state over the last couple of months and time is set for it to land on our TV screens this September. After the NGT train got to Lagos for the final auditions, all selected candidates from the seven states were brought to the NGT Freedom Studio for the final judging before the show commences in full come September 16, 2012.

The Project Manager, Adaora Mbelu, when asked about the amazing talents that have been displayed so far, said“I think we’ve had an overdose of talent. In Warri we had an 8-year-old ballet dancer, who totally stole the heart of the judges, with her form and style. We had a magician in Ibadan that amazed us with his tricks, and kept us wanting to see more. I'll let you watch out for the rest.”

Furthermore, three fantastic persons with different characters and from different areas in the entertainment industry have been selected as this season’s judges with Andre Blaze as the presenter. Dan Foster (one of the most respected, loved and in demand award winning On Air Personality in Africa), Kate Henshaw (a Nigerian actress who has won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role), and Yibo Koko (a creative and innovative individual with a strong academic and professional background in the dramatic arts).

‘The judges have great chemistry. They all have different personalities. Kate is quite the emotional one - when she is touched by a performance, you know it! Dan is absolutely hilarious - he helps keep the contestants a bit relaxed. Yibo is the most analytical - he is almost like a teacher. All in all, the NGT judges are great at keeping the contestants positive, and encouraging them to diversify their talent and keep it exciting at every stage of the show,“said Adaora Mbelu.

The show will be aired on the following stations as from September 16, 2012; AIT, NTA, STV,TVC and also on HITV UK.

The Airtel sponsored show will air on TV stations across the country from September to December 2012'. The Got Talent franchise worldwide, which is in its sixth year, has produced many notable performers in the last couple of years including Diversity, Bianca Ryan and Britain’s Got Talent’s 2009 1st runner up Susan Boyle, whose debut album became thefastest selling UK debut album of all time, selling over 3 million copies in the U.S.
