Retta - Tomorrow (lyrics)

Guess who's nominated in the category of most promising act to watch? NEA Nominee RETTA returns with another hit; this one's titled Tomorrow.

This soulful and young singer is here to captivate the world with her unique style. She draws inspiration from the 70's, 80's music and the likes of Adele, Corrine Bailey Rae, Erykah Badu, Adele, Tracy Chapman, Amy Winehouse, Dido and Noseittes. Retta was discovered by Joy Tongo in 2008, President of Jton Productions while vacationing in Nigeria. According to Joy Tongo, Retta is the void that is missing in the African female music scene.. She is got the voice of angel, look of a goddess and determination to take her straight to the top.

As she walks into the doors of unveiling that true part of her, Nigerians can expect to see the elements of raw unleashed talents.

Tomorrow was written and produced by Oscar Heman-Ackah.

Retta - Tomorrow

Retta - Tomorrow (lyrics)

I reach the mountain top so it's so easy for you to see me
I touch the deepest part of your heart so you don't forget me
I want to wake up in the morning to kiss the rain
But you say

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Oh

I want to listen for your sound to fill my morning
And when I close my eyes, I see you in my dreams.
I want to wake up to those promises you made
But you say

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Oh

Sebi you talk say you go take me to your home
I been dey hope say you and me go dey for better for worse
When I look inside my heart, there's a place I used to wanna be
I wanna stay, but it's sad to see

Tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow never comes
Oh

You use to be my hero and my pillow when we're home
You do dey say not even mosquito go bite me go
I always thought that I would be your number one till

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Oh

I can't believe you had me ... for such a longest time
Now I dey see say common sense no common anyway
They use to say that love don't cost a thing
That's so untrue cos the cost of losing you is so unbelievable.

I reach the morning top so it's so easy for you to see me
I touch the deepest part of your heart so you don't forget me
Tomorrow

I'm looking for what's better than tomorrow
I'm searching for what's better than tomorrow.
When I look inside my heart, there's a place I used to wanna be
I wanna stay, but it's sad to see

Tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow never comes
