Be free for Blu 3

Talent 256 proved again that they are still the best in the entertainment business as BLU 3 BE FREE album launch at KCC Grounds was everything that fits the description of a successful concert as earlier anticipated. Good turn up by the crowd, brilliant lighting, flawless sound and great performances from every artist that came to support the trio.

Being the second successful album launch after last year’s Burn, Blu 3 under Talent 256 had convict signed Dj Benny D and MAMA Male artist of the year, Nameless as the main guest artists at the do.

By 7pm, revelers who had come to support the gals were treated to an entertainment session of live music videos from Dj Shiru before performances commenced. The yellow team was the first on stage with their dance antics and was shortly followed by Tonics, Omulangila Ssuna, Michael Ross and Navio who excited the fans with his Ngalo hit followed pursuit. Nameless was the highlight of the show as he put up a memorable performance with songs like Mamanzi, Salari, Bomba Train, Deadly and finishing up with Nasinzia upon wild cheers from the female fans.

Ugandans still applauded DJ Benny D’s presences even after last visiting the country during Wycliffe Jeans’s concert earlier this year and for sure the spin master didn’t disappoint with his spinning techniques because the people in the V.I.P section abandon their seats to dance to his music mixes. Clad in shinny, tight black attires, BLU 3 performed some of their new songs like Fly Akayimba Kali, Nzijukira, Bad Girl barked by a live band during their first musical session.

Going back memory lane, Lillian, Jackie and Mya returned for their second performance with songs that mainly came off their first album like Burn, Hitaji, and Frisky among others while putting on white, shiny dresses.

During their third music gig, the gals took to the stage alongside artists with whom they have collaborations like Nameless with a track called Prisoner, GNL with Kakana, Vampos with Together remix, and finally sealing off the show with MTV top chart Where you are feat Radio and Weasel.

However, GNL had a good time performing Kikakane, Ani yali amanyi to the fans while Weasel and Radio proved their point with Ability alongside Rabadaba, Number Emu and Potential. Benny D returned for his final act and made the crowd shout with joy as he re-appeared in his trade-mark Scottish wear but was cut short by the heavy rains.

MTN Uganda, Pilsner Lager, Silk events and Talent 256 were the main sponsors of the event that saw people accessing the show at 15,000 general and 40,000 V.I.P.
